Today we want to talk to you about the revolutionary sanding system created by EMC Italia that has changed the way we work on finishing surfaces: the planar system. Let's see together which are the characteristics, strengths and advantages of its use.
Let's start by saying that classic sanding systems are based on three dimensions:
- conveyor belt speed
- pad pressure
- speed of abrasive belt rotation
With the new Planar® System, in addition to the standard parameters, the 4th dimension is also added, the rotation speed of the rotating unit that determines the sanding effect on the panel. This new procedure completely changes the dynamics of the sanding process because, while in the traditional one it is the abrasive belt that enters the panel, in the Planar System® it is the panel that enters the belt. This movement guarantees perfect sanding on all 4 edges of the panel, ensuring a perfect "radius edge" between edge and corner. In this way there is no longer an infeed and outfeed of the belt on the workpiece, but it is the workpiece that "PLANES" on the belt.
As we explained at the beginning of this article, the real special feature of this new sanding process is the rotation. This fourth dimension, i.e. the rotation speed of the rotary unit, which is added to the traditional dimensions: conveyor belt speed, pad pressure and sanding belt rotation speed, determines the sandingeffect on the panel.
It is an ambitious system that has no production limits, as we can testify to all our customers who have chosen to use it, and that does not require any special training thanks to the intuitive and simple system it consists of.
The result of flatness, compactness, speed, simplicity and economy is the Planare® System, and from all this comes the Plano, a machine created and patented to fully absorb the system.
